Eligibility for Stream A
To qualify under Stream A, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Passport: Hold a valid passport issued by: The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, or The United Kingdom to a British National (Overseas).
Education: Have graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution within the last 3 years with one of the following: A degree (bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate). A diploma or post-graduate certificate that meets program-specific requirements. The credential must be from a designated learning institution (DLI) and meet the program's minimum duration requirements.
Language Proficiency:Achieve at least CLB 5 in a recognized English or French language test (e.g., IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF).
Other Requirements: Be physically present in Canada at the time of application and when you get permanent residence. Have valid temporary resident status (or be eligible to restore it). Intend to live in a province other than Quebec.
